Tired Mom’s Journey

I met Emily last year, a brilliant woman who was struggling with her fitness and overall wellness. Her journey was tough; she had to juggle a busy work life, family commitments and her own dreams.

It was a constant battle to find the time and motivation to put her health first. Emily dreamed of feeling energetic and confident again.

But, the road seemed long and tough.

Yet, Emily took a brave step. She trusted me to guide her as her personal coach. And I felt truly grateful and inspired to be by her side in this journey.

Anyway, regarding her name – to protect her privacy, I’ll refer to her as Emily.

I’m so grateful that Emily trusted me to be a part of her transformation journey.

We embarked on our path with the Body Thrive Academy programme. This journey was split into three stages and nine steps, all crafted to her personal needs.

The first stage was the Foundation Stage. Here, Emily and I focused on Knowledge and Guidance, helping her understand her body’s needs. We then concentrated on providing Accountability and Support, making sure Emily felt seen and heard. Finally, we moved to instilling Motivation and Discipline, helping Emily to become resilient.

In the Transformation Stage, we delved into understanding Metabolism and Hormones and their role in weight loss. We then tackled Overeating and Cravings, helping Emily find healthier ways to satiate her hunger. The final part of this stage focused on Eating Right and Nutrition, creating a balanced meal plan for Emily.

The Consistency Stage was the final part of the journey. Here we instilled a Fitness routine that required just 10 minutes a day. We then focused on Mindset Strategies and Habits, and the last step was Performance and Experimentation, where Emily learnt to listen to her body and adjust her routine as needed.

To those reading this, if you find yourself facing similar struggles as Emily, here are five tips that have helped her on her journey:

Create a routine that involves just 10 minutes of exercise a day. It’s doable and impactful.
Understand your Metabolism and Hormones. Knowing how your body works can be empowering.
Tackle Overeating by understanding your body’s needs and distinguishing between physical hunger and emotional cravings.
Remember that Eating Right and Nutrition is a balance – not about depriving yourself.
Seek a coach who has the expertise to guide you. They can provide valuable guidance, just like how I helped Emily navigate her journey.

As we navigated through the Body Thrive Academy programme, I coached Emily, but she was the true driver of her transformation.

I taught her the skills, but she was the one who applied them and reaped the benefits. By the end of our journey together, Emily had not just transformed her body but also her mindset.

She became more energetic, confident, and happier – an achievement that went beyond our initial fitness goals.

Emily’s story is one that reminds me of why I do what I do. It inspires me, and I hope it does the same for you.

Seeing the transformation in Emily’s life, both physically and emotionally, has been truly humbling.

I have seen her at her lowest and highest, and every step has been worth it.
